Community Is Coming to MM Social

Hello all,

In the last blog post I shared what was coming next for MM Social. Version 1.2 is now in testing, and I'd like to write about a few highlights of what will be coming.

A new Community tab

Community is a new tab where members can come together beyond one-to-one matches and it has two sections.

The Forum is a place to share what you've learned, ask questions, and get to know each other. Posts can be organized by tag: General MM, Recipes, Cleanse Questions, Pets, and Off Topic. You can add photos, reply to others, and upvote posts and replies you find useful.

Cleansing & Events lets you start or join a cleanse group with other members, such as the 3:6:9 Cleanse or the Mono Cleanse, and then together you can follow along day by day with a shared chat from other people who've joined in to that cleanse period with you. You can also host or join events, in person or online.

Every new post, group, and event is reviewed before it appears. The goal is to keep the new “Community” tab kind and safe.

New in chat

It’s a great time to hop back into a chat with one of your mutual connections. Mutual chats between you and your connections are getting updated with:

Photos - Photos you receive stay blurred until you tap them and can be reported easily from within the chat.
Reactions - Long-press a message to react with a heart, an underlined 144 (fun MM-like take on the underlined 100 emoji), or any emoji from your emoji keyboard.
Chat games - A question game you can play together right in a conversation for a fun way to get to know the person you’re chatting with.

MM Social for Android

MM Social is also coming to Android, at the same time as version 1.2. iPhone and Android members will be able to connect and chat with each other, so if you have friends with Android phones, now is a great time to tell them about MM Social.

When can you get it?

I'm expecting to release version 1.2, along with the Android app, in November 2026. I'll send an announcement when it's ready. To get it, just update MM Social from the App Store and you'll have all the new features above.
